The Codfather is bringing its popular fish and chips to Shanklin this summer with the launch of a new pop-up at the Sunrise Hotel.

The Ryde-based business was forced to close earlier this year after a devastating fire damaged its premises.

Now, as rebuilding work continues, the team is returning to serve customers from a temporary seaside location.

Owner Harrison Booth thanked the Island community for the support shown since the fire.

He said:

"The fire was heartbreaking for everyone involved, but the support we've had from the community has meant the world to us.
"We're really excited to be back serving customers again in Shanklin this summer and can't wait to see some familiar faces."

The Codfather has been serving the Isle of Wight for more than 25 years and says it is looking forward to welcoming both regular and new customers over the summer.

The pop-up opens at the Sunrise Hotel in Shanklin from Sunday 6th July.

Opening hours are 4pm to 8pm daily, with deliveries also available during those times to Shanklin, Sandown, Lake, Brading, Bembridge and Ventnor.
