Temporary Road Closure In Place On Highwood Lane Near Rookley

A temporary road closure has been put in place on Highwood Lane near Rookley to allow highway works to be carried out.


The closure affects Highwood Lane from its junction with Blackwater Hollow for around 505 metres in a westerly direction.


According to Island Roads, the restriction came into force at 10:25 BST on Friday (8 May).


The road could remain closed for up to five days, although the works may finish sooner.


A signed diversion route is in place via Main Road, Niton Road, Appleford Road, Town Lane, Emmett Hill, Kennel Lane, Billingham Shute, Berry Shute, New Road and Highwood Lane.


Access to nearby properties will be maintained where possible while the closure remains in force.
