Government Approves Isle Of Wight SEND Reform Plan

Government approval has been given to the Isle of Wight's three-year plan to improve support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
The Island is set to receive an indicative £14.46 million High Needs Stability Grant to help address historic funding pressures and support improvements.
The plan aims to provide earlier support, increase inclusion in mainstream schools, reduce exclusions and expand specialist provision closer to home.
The government has praised the partnership between the council, health services, schools and families.
The council says the focus now is on delivering the changes and improving outcomes for children and families.
