Teenagers Released On Bail As Assault Investigation Continues

Two teenagers have been released on bail as an investigation into a Sandown assault and burglary last month continues.


A 14 year-old and 15-year old were arrested at 2.30am on Wednesday May 28 when two people broke into Browns.


The duo spent almost an hour inside the Culver Parade café, stealing alcohol and money before fleeing the scene.


Two males are subsequently reported to have been involved in an incident, with one stabbed during the altercation.


The man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.


A 14 year-old boy from Newport has been released on conditional bail until 28 August whilst enquiries continue.


A 15 year-old boy from Sandown was also arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault, harassment without violence and wounding with intent.


He has also been released on conditional bail until 28 August whilst enquiries continue.
