Motorists are facing disruption this morning (Wednesday) after a technical fault affected one of the Isle of Wight’s busiest petrol stations.
Tesco Petrol Station on Brading Road in Ryde is currently unable to dispense either petrol or diesel.
It is understood that the problem is not related to fuel supply, but a technical issue impacting the pumps, with a software fault believed to be the cause.
Despite the issue, customers can still use the air, screen wash and vacuum facilities, as well as the car wash.
The station has reportedly been experiencing problems for more than a week, with several pumps previously taped off and marked as out of use.
A sign at the entrance to the forecourt is in place apologising to customers for the inconvenience.
At this stage, it is unclear when the issue will be resolved and normal service resumed.
