The South East’s top places to live have been revealed in this year’s The Sunday Times Best Places to Live – with a Sussex location coming out on top.
Lindfield has been named the best place to live in the region, thanks to its strong community feel, good schools and attractive village setting.
The guide highlights a mix of locations across the South East, including coastal towns, countryside villages and commuter hotspots, all chosen for their quality of life rather than just house prices.
Other places featured include Petworth, Petersfield and Deal – showcasing the variety on offer across the region.
Across the UK, Norwich was named the overall best place to live.
Judges said they were looking for locations with a real sense of community, good amenities and access to green space – factors that continue to shape where people choose to settle.
While the Isle of Wight isn’t featured this year, the list offers a snapshot of the kinds of communities being recognised as some of the best places to live in Britain today.
