An unforgettable night of adrenaline and fundraising returns to the Island next month when Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s ZipFire Challenge takes place on Sunday 8 November.

This one-of-a-kind charity event invites thrill-seekers to take on a 300-metre zip wire ride beneath the stars, launching from 25 metres above the ground at Robin Hill.

With fire cannons blazing and the night sky as your backdrop, it’s a breathtaking experience that will make memories to last a lifetime — all while raising vital funds for the Island’s only hospice.

There’s just one month left to sign up, set up your fundraising page, and prepare to soar through the night for a truly worthy cause.

How to Take Part

  • Sign up and find all the details — including FAQs and terms and conditions — at www.mountbatten.org.uk/zipfire2025

  • Book your parking or shuttle bus to the Robin Hill site in advance.

The entry fee is £35, which covers your zip wire experience, a certificate and medal, and entry to Fireworks with Mountbatten for you and a guest.

(Please note: parking and transport to Robin Hill are not included and must be arranged separately.)

Participants are encouraged to raise £150 to support Mountbatten’s 24/7 end-of-life care — provided in homes across the Island, at the John Cheverton Centre, and in Mountbatten’s inpatient unit.

“A Thrilling Ride for a Worthy Cause”

"Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or simply looking to challenge yourself, ZipFire promises a thrilling ride.
"Every brave participant’s sponsorship helps fund Mountbatten’s vital care, while creating memories that will last forever.”
