The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary has welcomed six new arrivals this spring, including a 10-month-old foal named Pickle and his mum Willow.
They’re joined by four other donkeys — Lulu, Little Man, and mother and daughter Dilly and Maisie — all rehomed from the New Forest.
The animals are believed to have once lived freely before being cared for as part of a larger herd.
Their previous owners made the decision to rehome some of the donkeys as they became unable to meet their needs, turning to the sanctuary for support.
After a period in quarantine, the new arrivals are now settling into their new home in Wroxall and are ready to meet visitors.
They join other recent additions, bringing the sanctuary’s total to more than 100 donkeys, along with ponies and other animals, all receiving lifelong care.
Staff say they are closely monitoring the group as they settle in and are looking forward to introducing them to visitors over the Easter holidays.
