Godshill Matters, the community association for Godshill, is bringing festive cheer to the village with a day-long Christmas celebration on Saturday (6 December) from 9:30am until late.
Dubbed the Godshill Christmas Cracker, the event promises a packed programme of activities, street entertainment, markets, and things to see — all culminating in a colourful lantern parade and a festive singalong.
The celebration brings together local businesses, Godshill Primary School, Godshill and Rookley Scout Group, All Saints Church, the Methodist Church, and the village’s pubs, transforming Godshill into a hub of Christmas spirit and community fun.
Chris Slann, Chair of Godshill Matters, said:
"We are thrilled to see the entire village coming together for this event.
Every group has brought their own special gifts to the cracker, making it a truly collaborative celebration."
The Godshill Christmas Cracker is not just a celebration of the festive season — it’s a showcase of the power of community collaboration, creating a memorable day for residents and visitors alike.
Free car parking will be available, so head to Godshill on Saturday 6 December to enjoy the festivities, experience the magic of Christmas, and support the local community.
