Sandown Residents Asked To Help Shape Town Council Budget

Sandown residents are being asked for their views on how the town council should spend its money in 2027/28.
A new budget consultation is asking people what they think should be protected or improved, where investment should be focused and whether different spending choices should be considered.
Topics include regeneration, parks and open spaces, beach safety and accessibility, environmental improvements, community events, local grants and support for vulnerable residents.
Sandown Mayor Councillor Alex Lightfoot said the consultation gives residents an opportunity to say what matters most to them and where they believe the council should focus its resources.
The council is also asking residents to consider challenges and opportunities facing the town, including improving neglected areas, enhancing the seafront and supporting community activities.
It says the feedback will help inform spending decisions for the 2027/28 budget.
Residents can take part in the consultation through Sandown Town Council.
