Visit Isle of Wight says its summer tourism campaign was seen more than 8.5 million times, with website visits also increasing compared with last year.

The organisation says visits to its website were up 27 per cent over the same period in 2025, while the number of new visitors increased by 23 per cent.

The campaign ran across Google, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, with Visit Isle of Wight saying it was designed to target people most likely to be interested in visiting the Island.

It also used TikTok advertising for the first time.

The campaign video was viewed more than 2.3 million times on the platform and generated almost 12,000 visits to the Visit Isle of Wight website.

On Facebook and Instagram, the campaign reached around 239,000 people — 56 per cent more than last summer — while video views more than quadrupled.

Visit Isle of Wight says its digital advertising also delivered better value, with display advertising clicks costing around one pence each, compared with an industry average of approximately 34 pence.

Outdoor advertising in Southampton and Portsmouth was seen by more than 324,000 people, according to the organisation.

Interim CEO Dominic Wray said the results showed businesses paying the tourism levy "what it's delivering", adding that Wight BID 3 could provide further investment in marketing.

The figures have been released as the next stage of the Wight BID 3 process gets underway.

Ballot papers are due to start arriving with eligible businesses from Thursday, October 1.

The postal ballot is being run by Civica Election Services, with votes needing to be returned by 5pm on Thursday, October 29.

Businesses eligible to vote can contact Visit Isle of Wight for more information about the proposals.
