Ryde Wetherspoons Could Get Rooftop Beer Garden, Says Founder Tim Martin

The founder of the Wetherspoons pub chain, Tim Martin, paid a surprise visit to his Ryde pub, Fowlers, last night (Tuesday).

While mixing with the pub’s customers, he spoke with the Island’s Film Officer for Filmwight, Dave Russell, and agreed to an interview.

Using two mobile phones, Dave and Neil Hartland from the coach tour company Island Explorer captured details of recent menu changes and plans for the pub’s future in Ryde.

These included ambitions for a potential rooftop beer garden.
