Ryde School is celebrating an excellent set of A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) results for 2025 – the school’s highest grades at this level since 2016 (excluding Covid-adjusted years).
This year’s A Level students achieved 35.9% of grades at A-A* and 66% at A-B*.
The IB Diploma Programme cohort averaged 35 points – well above the global average – while the IB Career-related Programme recorded the school’s best-ever results, with 83.3% of pupils earning a distinction or better in the BTEC element and an average of 150.1 UCAS points each (higher than three A grades at A Level).

Several students are heading to top universities, with notable successes including:
Kai M – 2 A*s, 2 As (Physics at Durham)
Benjamin L – Medicine at Kent and Medway
Kavin S – Medicine at Bristol
Harry S – Dentistry at Manchester
Charndler H – 4 As (Aerospace Engineering at Bath)
Wilona R – 41 IB points (Medicine at King’s College London)
Bronte B – 195 UCAS points (Geography and Psychology at Cardiff)
Other achievements include Arthur A earning a tennis scholarship to Georgia State University in the USA, and Tom T and Enid R joining the Emil D Academy for Musical Theatre.

Head Master Will Turner praised the hard work of students and staff, highlighting the breadth of courses and opportunities being pursued – from medicine and engineering to costume design, filmmaking, ecology and degree apprenticeships with global companies.
“Our leavers this summer can rightfully be enormously proud of what they have achieved.
"All of us at Ryde School wish this cohort the very best as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.”
