Ryde Rowing Club Celebrates Award-Winning Season

Ryde Rowing Club held its Annual Presentation of Awards on Saturday 22 November 2025 at their Appley Park Clubhouse, with over 80 members and guests in attendance.

The club reflected on a successful season, including six wins for the Women’s Coastal Junior Fours in the Hants & Dorset ARA series, and three wins for the Club Open Junior

Senior Four.

Both crews went on to represent the Association at the South Coast Championships Regatta in Plymouth, with the women also winning the Hants & Dorset ARA Coastal Women’s Championship.

Awards were presented to outstanding rowers and supporters:

• First H&D ARA Rowing Win for Club Spoons: Eva Gordon & Fiona Owen

• 1st Year Oars Lady: Fiona Owen

• Best 1st Year Open Rower: Eva Gordon

• Coxswain’s Cup: Harry Watts & Ruby Reid

• Oars Lady of the Year: Abi Locke

• Best Open Rower: Charlie Watts

• Coach’s Cup: Graham Reeve

• Committee Cup: Maggie Sanderson

• Cadet Reps Trophy: Demi Cranham-Ede

• Captains Cup: Sam Woodman (Wightlink) for long-standing support of the club
