The RSPCA Isle of Wight has launched its “Time to Give Back” Christmas campaign, urging Islanders to help protect vulnerable pets and wildlife through the winter months.

The charity says just £3 a month can help save animals from cruelty, neglect and hunger — funding food, warmth and essential care at the Island’s Animal Centre in Godshill.

Over the festive season, the RSPCA will be sharing heartwarming rescue stories as part of its Gallery of Hope, highlighting animals whose lives have been transformed thanks to public support.

Among them is Tyson, an elderly dog found abandoned and in very poor condition.

After months of care while his case went through court, he regained his strength and is now enjoying life in a long-term foster home.

Two tiny kittens, Ember and Lumen, were hand-reared by staff after being found abandoned — and were later accepted into a new family after a mother cat, Brook, lovingly took them in alongside her own litter.

The centre has also helped wildlife, including sibling fox cubs Brook and Pikachu, who were rescued separately but reunited and recently released back into the wild.

And a family of rabbits — Perrie, Noel and Liam — discovered abandoned in an alleyway, are now safe and receiving the care they need.

Islanders can also support the cause by buying the RSPCA’s newly released Isle of Wight Christmas cards, illustrated by watercolour artist Rachel Toll, on sale in the charity’s shops and at the Godshill centre.

Raffle tickets are also available for £1, with all proceeds going toward animal welfare on the Island.

The RSPCA has further announced an expansion of its Bohemia Boarding kennels, increasing capacity for dogs and creating two new jobs.

All profits from the boarding service help fund rescue and rehabilitation work.

More information on the Christmas appeal is available through the RSPCA Isle of Wight.
