Robin Hill Adventure Park Raises £10,000 To Support Isle Of Wight Families Through WightAID

Robin Hill Adventure Park has raised more than £10,000 to support families in need on the Isle of Wight through the Robin Hill Fund at WightAID.

The total was raised thanks to the generosity of visitors during last summer season, alongside fundraising linked to the park’s Mud Runner event in January.

The Robin Hill Fund, which is managed in partnership with the WightAID Foundation, provides financial grants to local families and individuals experiencing hardship.

Support is delivered through Island schools and helps with essential living costs, education, wellbeing and other vital community needs.

John Smith, Co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of Robin Hill Adventure Park, thanked visitors and event participants for their support.

He said donations included £2 contributions from ticket sales to WightAID and funds raised through a raffle organised by the park’s fundraising committee.

“Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference to supporting families who need it most,” he said.

“Being part of the Isle of Wight community means a great deal to us, and we’re grateful to be able to support local families through the Robin Hill Fund.”

Nik Attfield, Chair of the Robin Hill Fund Committee, said the funding will go directly to families who need help the most.

He added that by working closely with WightAID and local Isle of Wight schools, the fund can quickly identify where support is most urgently required and ensure money is distributed effectively.

The Robin Hill Fund forms part of the WightAID Foundation’s wider network of charitable funds, with all money raised through Robin Hill events, visitor donations and community initiatives ring-fenced specifically for Isle of Wight support projects.

Families and individuals can apply for help through local Island schools, keeping the process community-focused and accessible.

Applications are reviewed to ensure funding is awarded fairly and where it can make the greatest impact.

Anyone wishing to support the Robin Hill Fund can do so by taking part in fundraising activities at Robin Hill Adventure Park or by adding a voluntary donation when purchasing park or Adrenaline Zone tickets online or on site.
