Originally launched back in 2013, the Rob da Bank Music Club is making a powerful return to the Isle of Wight — bringing fresh energy, creativity, and opportunity to young people aged 11–18.
The much-anticipated relaunch takes place on Tuesday 25th November at Strings Bar & Venue in Newport, marking a new chapter in youth-led music, creativity, and wellbeing on the Island.
Founded by Rob da Bank — acclaimed DJ, festival curator, and passionate advocate for youth creativity — the Music Club is designed to break down barriers and open doors for young Islanders who want to explore the world of music, regardless of experience, background, or ability.
“Being on an island should never be a barrier to creativity — in fact, it’s the perfect place to spark it,” says Rob.

“This club is about giving young people the tools, space, and confidence to explore music, express themselves, and discover what they’re capable of.
"Whether it’s DJing, songwriting, or just finding your voice, we want every young Islander to know they belong in this world of creativity.”
The relaunched Music Club will feature hands-on, inclusive sessions where young people can:
Learn to DJ and scratch using professional equipment
Explore songwriting and vocal coaching
Play real instruments in live jam sessions
Get involved in video production, stage management, and other behind-the-scenes roles
Whether you’re a budding performer or just curious to try something new, the club offers a welcoming, creative space to build confidence, connect with peers, and have fun.
The return of the Rob da Bank Music Club also comes at a vital time for young people, offering a much-needed creative outlet and a boost for mental wellbeing.
“Music has the power to lift mood, build confidence, and create connection — all things that are vital to young people’s mental health,” says Jo Dare, CEO of Isle of Wight Youth Trust.
“We’re proud to support the return of the Rob da Bank Music Club and help bring this creative opportunity to young islanders who need it most.”
