The world-famous RAF Red Arrows will be making several appearances in the skies above the Isle of Wight this week, giving residents and visitors multiple opportunities to spot the iconic red jets.

On Thursday 14 August, Friday 15 August, Saturday 16 August, and Sunday 17 August, the Red Arrows are expected to pass over the Island on their way to and from the Eastbourne Airshow 2025.

Their route will take them between Bournemouth and Eastbourne, with the return leg also likely to bring them back across parts of the Island.

The anticipated flight path is set to see the team fly in formation from west to east, likely passing over Yarmouth, Newport, Ryde and Seaview before heading towards Eastbourne.

On their return, they are expected to cross over East Cowes and Cowes before continuing back to Bournemouth.

Based on current schedules, the jets will pass over the Isle of Wight approximately one minute after their “South of Bournemouth” timing and reach Nettlestone Point around four minutes later – meaning they’ll be visible for just a few minutes each time.

Approximate timings for the Red Arrows over the Isle of Wight:

  • Thursday 14 August: 15:13–15:18

  • Friday 15 August: 16:13–16:18

  • Saturday 16 August: 16:13–16:18

  • Sunday 17 August: 16:13–16:18

As with all air displays and transits, timings and routes may change at short notice due to weather, operational needs, or other factors.

It’s not yet clear how high or low the aircraft will be flying – but Isle of Wight Radio can confirm you’ll almost certainly hear the roar of those famous engines.
