Record Crowds Raise More Than £27,500 At Isle Of Wight Dash In The Dark

More than 700 people took part in this year's Isle of Wight Dash in the Dark at Robin Hill, raising more than £27,500 for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The event took place on Saturday 3 October, with participants wearing fancy dress, neon face paint and fluorescent glow sticks for the five-kilometre run.
Crowds were up by 40% on last year's event, with the run taking place at Robin Hill for the first time.
The money raised could fund up to eight emergency missions by the charity, which responds to critically ill and injured patients across the region.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance doctors, pilots and paramedics have responded to almost 2,000 emergencies so far this year.
The service completed its move to a new airbase near Southampton Airport in June, which the charity says has improved response times to incidents on the Island.
Next year's Dash in the Dark will take place on Saturday 2 October 2027.
