Isle of Wight tourism and hospitality businesses have met with Red Funnel to discuss ways of attracting more visitors and supporting the Island's economy.

Accommodation providers, attractions and other businesses attended the ferry operator's latest Trade Customer Forum, alongside CEO Fran Collins and members of her team.

Discussions focused on encouraging more people to visit the Isle of Wight throughout the year, including ways of making travel to and from the Island easier and promoting local hotels, restaurants, attractions and experiences.

Red Funnel is continuing to market the Island through television, radio, outdoor, social media and digital advertising.

Its latest television campaign features comedian and actor Diane Morgan, while press visits are also being organised to showcase Island businesses and attractions.

Businesses were also updated on Red Funnel's work to improve reliability, following winter maintenance and refits of its vessels.

The company also outlined longer-term investment plans, including its fleet replacement programme and spending on existing ferries, digital systems, infrastructure and staff.

Red Funnel says feedback from businesses attending the forum will help shape its future plans and opportunities to work together to attract visitors and support the Island economy.
