Priory School has officially opened its newest facility, the Wellbeing Centre, during a special event held on 29 January.
The centre, known as Laura’s Space, has been named in memory of Mrs Laura Rhodes.
It was officially opened by Mr Mark Rhodes, one of the founders of estate agents Hose Rhodes Dixon, alongside his daughter Amelia.
The Wellbeing Centre features two main rooms.

One is a softer, therapeutic space, while the other is a vibrant and flexible work area. Both rooms are named after Laura’s favourite flowers — the Daffodil Room and the Sunflower Room.
Mr Rhodes cut the ribbon, with nine-year-old Amelia declaring the centre “officially open”.
Principal Mr David EJJ Lloyd said the new facility is “incredibly important for the care and personal development of Priory pupils”.
He also thanked Mr Rhodes for his generous donation towards the project, as well as Mrs Lippuner, owner of Vivus Interiors, who designed the space at no cost to the school.
Laura’s Space will be used by pupils of all ages when needed and is expected to be a valuable addition to the Priory School community.
