Police Seize Cannabis Items From Newport Premises

Police attended a business on Pyle Street, Newport, on Tuesday afternoon (October 14) following reports of potential drugs offences.

Officers were called to the premises — understood to be the Private Shop — at around 2pm.

A number of cannabis-related items were seized from the address as part of the investigation.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said:

“At around 2pm on Tuesday we attended an address on Pyle Street, Newport, following reports of potential drugs offences.

"A number of cannabis items were seized from the premises as part of our investigations.

"No arrests have been made at this time and our enquiries are ongoing.”

Police enquiries remain ongoing.
