Police Investigate Reports Of Badger Sett Being Filled With Concrete In Freshwater

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is investigating reports that a badger sett in Freshwater was filled in with concrete.

Police say the incident was reported on Friday 31 January and is being investigated by local officers on the Isle of Wight.

The matter has also been reviewed by specialist officers from the Country Watch Rural Crime Task Force, who are supporting the ongoing enquiries.

Officers are working alongside the Isle of Wight Badger Trust to establish the full circumstances of the incident and to determine whether any criminal offences may have been committed.
