Police Investigate Foot Injury And Property Damage In Shanklin

Police are investigating an incident in Shanklin early this morning (Wednesday 5 November) after a man was found with a foot injury.

Officers on patrol located the 29-year-old on Regent Street at around 1:45am, and the injury required treatment from the ambulance service.

Initial enquiries suggested an assault may have occurred, and a scene was set up.

However, police later confirmed that no assault took place. Instead, criminal damage was reported to a property on Atherley Road.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
