Police Investigate Assault In Newport

Police are investigating after a woman suffered serious injuries in an assault in Newport.

Officers were called to an address in St Thomas Square shortly after 2pm on Friday (4 September), following reports that a woman had been attacked.

She suffered injuries which Police have described as being at ABH level.

It is understood the injuries were caused by a boiling liquid.

Officers attended the scene and enquiries are continuing.
