Police are appealing for help to locate a man they wish to speak to following an assault in Ventnor that left a 28-year-old man with a fractured skull.

The incident happened on Albert Street on Wednesday 10 September.

Officers are now searching for 25-year-old Lewis Morera-Morgan, who is believed to still be on the Isle of Wight.

Despite following multiple lines of enquiry, police have been unable to find him and are appealing to the public for information.

Lewis has known links to Ventnor and Binstead, and there have been reported sightings of him in Ryde and Bembridge over the past month.

He is described as being around 6ft 3in tall, of heavy build, with brown eyes, a beard, and tattoos on his arms and hand. He is also right-handed.

Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him, but instead to contact police immediately on 999, quoting incident number 4425040986.

Information can also be submitted online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.

Alternatively, details can be shared anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.

Police have also reminded the public that anyone found to be deliberately harbouring Lewis could face arrest.
