Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Shoplifting At Tesco In Ryde

Police are asking for help from the public after a reported shoplifting at Tesco Extra on Ryde's Brading Road.
The incident happened on Tuesday 2 December, between 12:10pm and 12:15pm, when a woman allegedly left the store with grocery items valued at £89 without paying.
Officers have now released an image of a woman who may be able to assist with the investigation. She is described as:
Aged between 50 and 60
White, large build
Long blonde hair in a bun
Wearing a calf-length green sleeveless hooded puffa coat, cream-coloured hoodie, UGG-style boots, dark-rimmed glasses, and carrying a black leather-style backpack
Police are asking anyone who recognises her or who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact them on 101, quoting 44250547482.
They are also keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone, or doorbell camera footage that could help with their enquiries.
