Police are appealing for witnesses after a series of incidents on Ryde Esplanade on Tuesday 18 November.

Between 4pm and 4.30pm, a 34-year-old woman reportedly entered Rocket Ronnie’s and made threats towards another woman.

She then allegedly left the venue and caused damage to a vehicle outside — an act officers believe was witnessed by two men.

A short time later, the same woman is said to have entered The Veteran, where she argued with a member of the public before picking up and smashing a glass outside the premises.

A woman from Ventnor has since been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage under £500 and assaulting a police officer.

She has been bailed until 18 February while enquiries continue.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incidents, especially the two men seen outside Rocket Ronnie’s during the vehicle damage.

Anyone with information, or CCTV, dashcam, mobile or doorbell footage, is asked to call 101, quoting 44250521842.

Information can also be submitted online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
