Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a teenage boy in Ryde.
At around 9.20pm on Friday (29 August), two teenage boys were at the junction of West Street and Adelaide Place when a car containing five men mounted the pavement and drove towards them.
One of the boys, aged 15, was assaulted by one of the men, threatened – possibly with a knife – and forced into the vehicle for a short period.
He was not seriously injured.
The vehicle then sped off along West Street before stopping on Pell Lane, where one man got out.
No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries remain ongoing.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, to come forward.
Anyone with information should call 101 or submit details via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting reference 44250391974.
