Plans have been submitted to expand a cliff top hotel on the Isle of Wight, including a yoga pavilion, restaurant and new outdoor seating areas.
The proposals, put forward by Dr Malik, would see a two-storey extension added to the Harrow Lodge Hotel in Shanklin.
If approved, the development would increase the hotel’s capacity to 35 guest bedrooms, including three designed to be wheelchair accessible.
The plans also include a glazed yoga pavilion, an extended front entrance with decking and seating, a new access ramp, a passenger lift serving all floors and a rear fire escape staircase.

Additional features would include street-facing balconies with privacy screening, along with a café and restaurant at lower ground floor level.
Planning documents state the extension has been designed to complement the surrounding area, with upper floors set back and architectural features such as dormer windows and inset balconies incorporated into the design.
The application also highlights improvements to accessibility and visitor facilities, describing the scheme as a way to enhance tourism infrastructure on the Island.
Public consultation on the plans is open with Isle of Wight Council until April 21, with a decision expected by May 12.
