Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is marking Co-production Week by launching a new set of principles designed to give patients, carers and communities a greater role in shaping local health services.

The Trust's new SHARE co-production principles provide a framework for working alongside people with lived experience, recognising their role in improving healthcare.

SHARE stands for: Start early and stay involved, Honest and respectful relationships, All voices valued, Resources and support in place, and Everyone included.

Co-production Week runs from 29 June to 3 July and will feature workshops, community events and information stands at community hospitals across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, where people can find out more about getting involved.

Lesley Stevens, Chief Quality and Engagement Officer, said co-production is about listening, sharing power and working together to improve services and experiences.

She said the new SHARE principles demonstrate the Trust's commitment to working alongside patients, carers, communities and partners to ensure local health services better meet people's needs.

Further information about Co-production Week events and opportunities to get involved is available on the Trust's website.
