As part of the ongoing National Lottery Heritage Funded project, the team at Newport Minster are working on a new exhibition.
The exhibition will focus on births, deaths and marriage.
The exhibition will be launched in September as part of Newport Heritage Day.
“We would love to share some of the stories of these big life events as part of the exhibition,” says Hannah Griffiths Community Engagement Coordinator.
“We would like to feature images of weddings, baptisms and even funerals at Newport Minster/Sts Thomas Church as part of the exhibition and would love you to feature your pictures in this new exhibition.”
As well as photographs, the Minster team would like to interview people who were married at St Thomas, had their child Christened or said goodbye to family in the space.
“We would like to create an oral history archive of the people of the church for future generations.” Says Jodie Whitton Volunteer Exhibitions Assistant.
