Newport Man Charged With Multiple Jewellery Thefts

A Newport man has been charged in connection with a series of thefts from shops in the town earlier this month.
36-year-old Luke Edgington, of West Street, faces four counts of theft from a shop:
A wedding ring from TM Taylors and Sons, St James Street, on 3 September
A wedding ring from H Samuel, High Street, on 5 September
A necklace from T.M Barber Jewellers, High Street, on 11 September
A pair of headphones and a gaming mouse from Currys, Riverway, on 14 September
Edgington has been bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 October
