Newport Man Charged With 16 Offences Following Investigations Across Island

A 40-year-old man from the Isle of Wight has been charged with 16 offences including burglaries and theft of vehicles.
Nicky Dickinson of Barton Road in Newport has been remanded to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Friday 30 May).
He has been charged with:
Seven non-dwelling burglaries including: an attempted break-in to Central Stores in Gunville on Sunday 27 April, money stolen from Newport Laundrette on Sunday 18 May and a second attempted theft on Tuesday 20 May, money stolen from Barton Washeteria on Tuesday 20 May, theft from two containers in Wootton on Friday 23 May, theft of £10,000 of tobacco products from Ultra Stores in Newport on Friday 23 May, and an attempted burglary at Sandown Jewellers on Friday 23 May.
Three offences of theft from a shop including: theft of a bag from TK Maxx in Newport on Friday 7 March, theft of headphones from Central Stores in Newport on Tuesday 29 April, and money stolen from Little Cow Shed in Havenstreet on Friday 23 May,
Two offences of theft of a motor vehicle including: theft of a Land Rover from Chessell Pottery on Wednesday 28 May, and the theft of a Vauxhall van in Newport on the same day.
One offence of aggravated vehicle taking after a Ford Ranger was stolen in Newchurch on Friday 23 May.
One offence of theft of a pedal cycle after a bicycle was stolen from the Riverside Centre in Newport on Tuesday 20 May.
Disqualified driving on Friday 23 May.
Possession of cocaine on Friday 23 May.
