New Driver Crashes Into Wall In Shanklin

A newly-qualified driver has crashed into a wall and fence on Brook Road in Shanklin.

The incident happened late last night (Wednesday) and involved a Toyota Auris displaying P plates.

The car sustained damage to its front end after coming to rest against a wall and fence.

The vehicle remained at the scene while it was taped off by police.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that no offences have been identified in connection with the collision and the matter is being dealt with through insurance.

No injuries were reported.
