Citizens Advice Isle of Wight has relocated to new premises in Newport, securing a long-term base from which it can continue providing support to residents across the Island.

The charity has moved into offices at Exchange House, near St Cross Lane, following changes to its accommodation arrangements after the end of its local authority contract.

The organisation says the move ensures advice services remain fully accessible, with appointments and day-to-day operations continuing from the new location.

Exchange House is a familiar setting for Citizens Advice, having previously served as the charity's headquarters. The site offers dedicated facilities, including a reception area and private meeting rooms where clients can discuss sensitive issues in confidence.

Chief Executive Eddy Yates said the relocation would help strengthen the charity's ability to meet local demand and provide a more suitable environment for those seeking assistance.

He said: "This move has given us a fantastic opportunity to improve how we support our clients. Returning to Exchange House gives us a quiet, dedicated and welcoming space that genuinely strengthens our ability to serve the Island.

"Our absolute priority is the people who rely on us for accredited information, advice and guidance, so I am thrilled that our doors remain fully open. We are here, our services are uninterrupted and we are in an even better position to offer the free, confidential services our community needs."

Citizens Advice Isle of Wight provides free and impartial guidance on a range of issues, including debt, housing, benefits and employment.

Residents seeking support can continue to access services through the charity's new Newport base.
