Multiple Red Funnel Sailings Cancelled Due To Onboard Maintenance

Red Funnel has cancelled several vehicle ferry sailings this morning (Wednesday) as engineers carry out essential maintenance on a piece of critical onboard equipment.

The operator confirmed that the 07:30 and 10:30 services from Southampton have been cancelled, along with the 09:00 and 12:00 departures from East Cowes.

It’s not yet known whether more disruptions will follow throughout the day.

The issue also led to late-night cancellations yesterday, with the 21:00 sailing from Southampton and the 22:30 from East Cowes unable to run.

Meanwhile, Wightlink faced separate problems last night, cancelling the final four FastCat services of the evening.
