Motorcyclist Taken To Hospital After Bus Crash Near St Helens

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a double-decker bus on the outskirts of St Helens.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Eddington Road and Attrills Lane shortly after 1pm following the crash involving a KTM 125cc motorcycle and a Southern Vectis bus.

The rider was treated at the scene before being taken to St Mary's Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

The bus, which was operating the Island Coaster service, sustained damage to its front nearside.

Eddington Road was partially blocked while the incident was dealt with, but has since reopened.
