More Than 100 Attend Isle Of Wight Meet The Funders Event
More than 100 people have attended an event aimed at helping Isle of Wight charities and community groups secure funding for local projects.
The annual Meet the Funders event attracted 108 people to the Riverside Centre in Newport.
It was organised by the Isle of Wight Council's Family and Community Team and Community Action Isle of Wight.
Attendees were able to meet funding organisations, take part in workshops, network and receive one-to-one advice on applying for grants and developing projects.
Councillor Ros Freeman said it was "fantastic to see so many people attend", adding that community groups and charities play a "vital role" in supporting Island residents.
Organisers hope the connections made at the event will help unlock new funding for community projects and services across the Isle of Wight.
