Minor Injuries Reported After Moped And Car Crash On Kite Hill

A moped rider has suffered minor injuries following a collision with a car on Kite Hill in Wootton yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway, shortly after the turning for Firestone Copse Road.

Two police units and an ambulance attended the scene following the crash, which involved a moped and a Seat car.

The moped was left upright at the roadside and appeared to have sustained only limited damage.

Drivers in the area were warned to expect delays while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The road was cleared by around 5.05pm, with traffic returning to normal.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary later confirmed that the moped rider suffered minor injuries.
