The Medina Marching Band is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special musical showcase in Cowes later this month.
The “50th Anniversary Spectacular Tattoo” will take place at Cowes Enterprise College on Crossfield Avenue on Sunday, May 24, starting at 6pm.
The event will feature an evening of marching band performances, ceremonial displays and musical pageantry, with groups from across the UK joining the celebrations.
Among those taking part are the Wight Diamonds, Burgess Hill Marching Youth, Surbiton RBL Youth Marching Band, the Band of the Royal Marine Volunteer Cadet Corps and the Isle of Wight Air Cadets.
The evening will conclude with a massed finale involving all participating bands and performers.
The Medina Marching Band has been a longstanding part of the Isle of Wight community for five decades, helping young musicians and performers develop their talents through marching band culture.
Tickets cost £12 and are available in advance via TicketSource or on the door.
