Man Seriously Injured In Sandown Stabbing

A man is reported to have suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after a stabbing at a property in Sandown.

Emergency services were called to Downsview, off Perowne Way, at around 6.40pm on Thursday following reports of a serious incident.

Two ambulances, a critical care paramedic and firefighters attended the scene, while the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also dispatched.

Police have cordoned off the property while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It is understood a suspect had not been located on Thursday evening.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has been approached for comment, with a statement expected on Friday.
