Man Charged After Woman Pushed From Bicycle In Sandown

A 39-year-old man has been charged following an assault on a woman in Sandown.

Officers were called at around 3:10pm on Tuesday 5th August after reports that a woman in her 60s had been pushed off her bicycle on Culver Parade.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to her head, legs, and face and is now recovering at home.

Daniel Dickons, of Avenue Road, Sandown, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7th April.
