Man Arrested After Road Rage Incident Involving Assault In Ryde

Police have made an arrest following a reported road rage incident on the outskirts of Ryde.
Officers were called at 3.22pm yesterday (Wednesday) to Harding Shute in Ashey after reports of a collision involving a Renault Kadjar and a Ford Transit van.
The incident is believed to have been a damage-only crash, but escalated when three men got out of the van.
Two of them then reportedly assaulted the driver of the car.
A 21-year-old man from Totland Bay has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has since been released on bail until 18 June.
A second man left the scene before police arrived and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
