Man Arrested After Cars Damaged In Shanklin

Police are appealing for witnesses after several parked cars were damaged in Shanklin, Isle of Wight at the weekend.


The incident happened between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Saturday (14 March) in St Pauls Crescent, Shanklin, where it was reported a man had been hitting vehicles with a metal pole.


Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary attended the scene and arrested a 34-year-old man from Shanklin on suspicion of criminal damage.


He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.


Police are now asking anyone with CCTV footage from St Pauls Crescent or nearby roads to come forward.


Motorists who were driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage are also urged to get in touch.
