Man Arrested After Attempt To Take Knife Into Isle Of Wight Court

A man has been arrested after reportedly attempting to take a knife into a court building on the Isle of Wight.

Police were called at around 10:45am this morning following reports that a man had tried to bring a Stanley knife into Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court.

Officers who were already at the scene detained a 56-year-old man on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place.

He remains in police custody at this time.
