Singer-songwriter Jason McNiff is returning to the Isle of Wight this week for a special live performance celebrating the music of Leonard Cohen.

The show, titled Songs of Love, Loss and Light, will take place in Cowes on Friday 1st May at 7pm.

Due to high demand, the event has been moved from Medina Bookshop to the larger Island Sailing Club.

Audiences can expect a mix of Cohen’s most celebrated songs alongside McNiff’s own material, in what organisers describe as an intimate and reflective evening of music.

McNiff has built a strong following over the past two decades, known for his poetic songwriting and understated live performances.

Often compared to artists such as Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt, his style blends folk and Americana influences.

This will be his third visit to the Island, where previous performances have been warmly received.

The evening will also pay tribute to Cohen’s connection with the Isle of Wight, including songs he performed at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970.

Tickets cost £15 and organisers say they are expected to sell quickly following the venue change. They are available from Medina Bookshop.
