An Isle of Wight mum living with Stage 4 breast cancer has completed a gruelling 90km charity cycle through the Scottish Highlands, raising an incredible £1,500 for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer (LFBC).
Victoria Coles, diagnosed in 2022 shortly after her daughter was born, took on the Tour de 4 – an event created by Sir Chris Hoy following his own cancer diagnosis, with the aim of raising £1 million for UK cancer charities.
Battling steep climbs, including the notorious Tak Ma Doon, and persistent Scottish rain, Victoria pushed through with determination.
“It was one of the toughest physical challenges I’ve ever faced, but every kilometre was worth it,” she said.
“LFBC has supported me and my family from day one, and completing this ride was my way of giving something back.”
The £1,500 she raised will help LFBC continue providing vital equipment, services and emotional support for women and families affected by breast cancer.
Victoria added:
“This was about more than just the ride – it was about hope, resilience and giving back.
Stage 4 cancer life isn’t easy to navigate with treatments and side effects, but it won’t stop me.”
The inaugural Tour de 4 has already raised more than £2 million in total.
Victoria’s fundraising page is still open here: GoFundMe link.
