The first images from the upcoming Isle of Wight episode of the BBC’s hit series The Apprentice have been released ahead of its broadcast on Thursday 19 March.

The episode forms part of the show’s 20th series, which continues to see candidates compete in high-stakes business challenges under the watchful eye of Lord Sugar and his advisers, Karren Brady and Tim Campbell.

The Isle of Wight will feature as the backdrop for one of the programme’s signature challenges, with contestants taking part in a “discount buying” task aimed at sourcing items and making the biggest profit.

Filming on the Island was the result of months of planning, after producers from Fremantle contacted Visit Isle of Wight in 2024 to scout locations.

As previously reported on Isle of Wight Radio, Visit Isle of Wight suggested a range of local products and filming sites, competing successfully against two other potential locations.

The episode will not only challenge the contestants but also showcase the Island to millions of viewers, following in the footsteps of previous destinations like Brighton, Jersey and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Amy Summers, Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Visit Isle of Wight, said the opportunity would highlight the Island’s businesses and attractions to a national audience.

The Isle of Wight episode airs on BBC One on Thursday 19 March, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
