After six years of service from the YMCA building in Shanklin, the Isle of Wight Foodbank has announced it will be moving out, with notice due to end on 17th September.
It's the second organisation to announce the need for a new home, with Scallywags Fun Club also on the lookout, as previously reported.
The charity says it was "kindly asked to vacate the space" and thanked YMCA trustees and staff for their support since March 2019. Special thanks were also given to the volunteers and donors whose commitment has helped support thousands of people across the island.
The Foodbank is now searching for a new venue in the Shanklin or Lake area, ideally with good parking and public transport links to ensure continued accessibility.
Anyone with venue suggestions or offers of help is encouraged to email: info@isleofwight.foodbank.org.uk.
